Flourish Strength reached out to me recently for yet again another site audit – as in, site audits are getting popular with folk nowadays, not a second or third audit for Flourish Strength themselves…
I’m a big fan of this segue into the world of paying someone (like me) for SEO as the audit can be a great way to “look under the hood” and give a quote before you embark on perhaps costly SEO. (Although, it could also bring in a lot more revenue for your website, so it might actually be a great investment – something I am a big proponent of.) Years back I’d essentially do a basic (one to two hour) SEO audit for free when quoting clients as I’d want to know what I was getting myself into before committing to a set monthly retainer – which naturally came with some expected KPI’s. Nowadays, I find it better, more transparent, and more logical to charge for them, and do them more diligently. With four to six hours, there is a lot more ground I can cover, and the report is more in depth. It also has the added benefit of at times the client really just needs to fix the problems themselves, or get their developer to – something that I can get frustrated with, ie. I become their dev when I really want to stay the “SEO guru” of sorts and focus solely on that.
All this to say, Flourish Strength became our latest site audit candidate and it was a pleasure. It also led to some Google Ads work for me as that was the gap I saw working out best for them. Until next time…
